Vitema Pharmaceuticals: Technological Pioneer for Sustainable Health

Strategically located in Transylvania, Vitema Pharmaceuticals represents a model of excellence in the European pharmaceutical industry. The GMP certification underscores the high standards at which this production facility operates, positioning itself as an important hub between Europe and the EEA countries due to its proximity to Sibiu International Airport and the A1 Motorway.

Vitema’s mission to enhance human performance is reflected in all aspects of its operations, from the development of medicines and healthcare products to nutritional supplements produced to stringent pharmaceutical standards. Its vision to redefine health for future generations is fueled by an unwavering commitment to innovation and leadership.

Specializing in contract manufacturing, Vitema offers a wide range of pharmaceutical and sports nutrition products, from capsules and tablets to injectable solutions. This diversity enables it to serve a wide range of customer needs while staying at the forefront of production technology.

In addition to its integrated and cost-effective production model, Vitema demonstrates its commitment to sustainability principles through the recent completion of the ambitious project “Sustain a healthy environment by reducing the CO2 impact of our medical solutions”. By installing photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 0.58 MW, Vitema not only reduces its carbon footprint but also optimizes energy consumption in a manner that reflects its core values of innovation and environmental responsibility.

The funding of this project through the EEA and Norwegian Grants underscores the recognition of Vitema’s efforts to combine excellence in pharmaceutical production with a deep commitment to environmental protection, marking an important step towards a more sustainable future for both the company and the wider community.

Funded with support from grants provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, under the “Energy Program in Romania”.
